Japan in my heart

My love for Japan started with four legs and a bushy tail: my Japanese Akita. What was first a fascination with their dog breed quickly grew into a deep admiration for Japanese culture, aesthetics, and traditions. About five years ago I first took the step to Taiko – the powerful, rhythmic Japanese drumming – and it turned out to be a hit. The energy, discipline and connection of Taiko touch something in me that goes beyond music. That inspiration also seeps into my creative work.
